水滾茶靚 Hot Water, Nice Tea!
  • description

projects coordinated by Kith were always providing me another side of enjoyment in design. His solid knowledge and viewpoints on cultural design are always providing me a new aspect of thinking, not to mention the widened scope.

This project is called Book Design for Special Needs. First we have to choose an interesting object, wrote a short story about it as the book's contents. My topic is written by my classmate Tet Chan, story about giant pots and hot tea in old Chinese restaurant. The most interesting part is, we had to think of a special usage for our book and then designed for it. Mine is for noodles time, so that hot tea is already a suitable topic. For the layout, I tried my best to make it looked spacious, comfort and short, because the eating time of noodles is always short, and stress would certainly harms the stomach's digestion.

It is one of the best book content designs in my career. I love how the space distributed, detailed Chinese type treatment and the 'type as image' direction, emitting a light Asian design taste.
